- A covering payment is an additional one-off charge that is added to your first monthly subscription. This charge is to cover any unpaid classes attended before your first monthly payment is taken.
Failure to Pay Monthly Subscription
- If we are unable to collect your monthly subscription payment on the 1st of the month we will attempt to take payment 3 days later, and then 5 days thereafter. After that, we will attempt to contact you to restore your subscription. If your subscription payment is not up to date by the 14th of the month your child and place in the class will be removed and offered to someone else. Please update your bank details on your account or contact us ASAP.
Discounts
- The first child of every family doing one class will be charged the standard subscription plan. Any further children booked into the same class will receive a 20% discount per extra child or class (cheapest class with 20% discount). This discount will be applied after you have set up your standard subscription plan for each child. Please note you will not be charged until the 1st of the following month when the sibling discount has been applied.
Trials
- Trial classes can be booked for any available class via the website.
- Following your trial session, you will receive an invitation by email from Future Faces Performing Arts School (bookings@class4kids.co.uk) asking whether you would like to accept or decline the space in the class. You have 2 days after the trial to accept or decline the invitation. If we have not received your booking confirmation within this time, your child’s place will no longer be reserved in the class. Please note that occasionally this invite may go into a junk mail folder, so please add bookings@class4kids.co.uk to your email address book.
Under 18’s
- The provider (and all teachers) hold/s a valid DBS certificate, as well as a Children in Entertainment Chaperone Licence. The provider holds a First Aid Certificate, and Future Faces Performing Arts School has a full health and safety policy as well as Child protection and Data protection policies, which can be viewed upon the clients request and can be found on our website. Parents of under 16’s are required to provide information for performance licences, if necessary, when participating in a show.
Class Etiquette
- It is your responsibility to inform us if your child has special health or medical conditions before signing to our dance classes, and we will endevour to accommodate their needs.
- Children should arrive promptly, correctly dressed in our school uniform, and attend classes regularly.
- Teachers are only responsible for pupils during class time.
- If you are late to collect your child after the class and the teacher has to wait you, we will send you the invoice to pay for the late collection. The amount depends on the total waiting time.
- Children are not allowed to leave the studio unless accompanied by an adult. If your child is meeting you in the car park we need to be informed in writing and have your permission to let them leave the building alone.
- Please inform your teacher of any injuries before class.
- Physical contact may be necessary when helping to demonstrate or correct technique.
- During class, children are expected to listen and we discourage unnecessary talking. If a child is causing disruption, they will be asked to leave their lesson.
- It is important to drink fluids at regular intervals during physical exercise, please pack water for your child.
- For longer classes, such as Performing Arts please provide a snack for your child or money for our onsite tuck shop. But NO NUTS please, as some students might be allergic to nuts. Thank you.
- Only once the required skill standard is attained, students may be put forward for examinations or moved to the next level.
- Students are responsible for their personal property and possessions while on the premises and Future Faces cannot accept liability for loss of or damage to such property and possessions. We strongly discourage students from bringing high-value (monetary) or invaluable (sentimental) items with them. If these items are brought to sessions it is the owner's responsibility to ensure that they are kept safe. Future Faces will not accept any responsibility for their recovery or replacement in the case of loss, theft, or damage.
It is essential that all children’s clothing and possessions are named. Sadly, this will not necessarily prevent losses from occurring, but it will enable the many articles brought to lost property to be returned to their owners.
- Photos or videos that may include children may occasionally be used on our website or for marketing purposes
Smiley Faces Guidelines and Expectations:
Future Faces wants children to have fun, but do so in a structured learning environment.
- Children must be at least 4 and must be fully toilet trained to join. If a child has not developed this control, it is hard to expect them to be disciplined enough to follow directions in a dance class.
- We certainly understand that many children have separation anxiety, but dancers typically overcome their fear quickly and enjoy their classes immensely. This will also require some trust on the part of the parents so that the children know they are safe with us.
- Say their name when asked by the teacher. If your child cannot say both first and last names or is difficult to understand, please introduce your child personally to the teacher on the first day.
- Understand and follow studio rules. These are mainly safety rules, such as no running in the studio, or courtesy rules, such as using an inside voice, listening to teachers, or not pushing in lines, etc.
- We do not allow adults in the building at the start of the session and children are encouraged to walk into the studios on their own and say “goodbye and see you later” to mums and dads with the help of our staff.
Children can move to Main Theatre School when they are in YEAR 2. Children can also choose to stay in Smileys until the term they turn 7.
Future Faces Performing Arts School Uniform Policy
- We pride ourselves on the smart and presentable manner in which we all look both in school and when representing the school. Our School uniform is obligatory for all children. Pupils need to be correctly dressed for classes at all times
- If you are attending a class for the first time (or on a trial lesson) and you do not have a complete uniform, it's fine to just wear something loose and comfortable, soft shoes or bare feet.
- Uniform is available for purchase from our onsitre shop: ENCHANTED DANCEWEAR.
- The teaching staff reserves the right to refuse participation in class, exam, or performance to any pupil if they are inappropriately dressed and no refund will be given.
- In addition to the correct uniform, long hair must be tied back. Short hair should be worn in a hair band with fringes clipped back and off the face.
- Please ensure that all your child's property is named with a pen that does not wash off - including shoes and coats
